This app is intended for the advanced high-school and college-level student for the purpose of reviewing human skeletal anatomy.
In 10 chapters, it covers bone tissue, bone gross anatomy, and the bones and features of the entire skeleton.
Chapters 1 and 2 review bone tissue, bone anatomy, bone types, and bone markings. Chapters 3 through 6 review the bones of the axial skeleton: the skull (2 chapters), the vertebral column, and the thoracic cage.
Chapters 7 through 10 review the bones of the appendicular skeleton: the pectoral girdles, the upper limb, the pelvic girdle, and the lower limb. This app contains a substantial review of the skeletal system, but users may find it most helpful for its focus on the bones and bone features of the complete skeleton.
This app was created by Dr. Eric Price. Dr. Price is currently a faculty member of the Department of Physiology in the College of Medicine at the University of Arizona.
He has a joint B.A. in biology-chemistry and a Ph.D. in molecular biology. He has taught neuroscience, anatomy and physiology, and biology for the past eight years at the college/university level.
